Greater Marine Systems (GMS) has recalled two of their BC models. Some customers have reported the bladder covers have been prematurely separating at the seams on the Ruby Duo Set, designed for doubles use, and the Impala Rigs.

Although the number of units thought to have the defective thread used in the manufacturing process is small and no injuries have been reported from the few isolated incidents, GMS feels it prudent to address this issue.

Owners with one of the defective GMS buoyancy compensator models above should discontinue use of the defective unit immediately and return it to an authorized dealer for repair or replacement.
